About Kofi Sasraku

Kofi Sasraku is a Ghanaian–British journalist and commentator who writes about politics, history, society, and the lived realities of Ghanaian and African life.

Two worlds shape his perspective: his early years in the UK, his formative years in Accra, and his further studies at the University of Ghana and the London School of Economics. This blend of Ghanaian grounding and international exposure informs his balanced, research-driven approach to commentary.

Kofi writes about the deeper forces behind the headlines: the echoes of history, the tensions of development, the character of leadership, and the evolving identity of a nation still in conversation with itself.

He writes independently – without partisanship – with a commitment to clarity, context and thoughtful reflection.
